Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
**We are pleased to share that enrollment for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) is still open in Davie County and we continue to provide free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five. Thanks to private funding and local support, we’re able to continue offering DPIL and reach more families, even as other counties close NEW registrations due to limits in state funding.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library offers any enrolled child living in Davie County one free, age appropriate book per month from birth until their fifth birthday. The books are mailed to their home and addressed to the child. Provided in conjunction with the Dollywood Foundation, this program encourages literacy, parent/child interaction, and ultimately a successful start as the child enters school.
